I completely understand where you are coming from. I had a "genetic disease" and my last diagnoses over 10 years ago was "no evidence." I wish more people would understand there is hope and recovery outside of the medical profession

Very interesting!! I do believe, however, some people do have a predisposition towards some diseases--not diabetes of course, food choices make all the difference. But I've seen heart disease decimate families. People whose parent died at 40 from a heart attack-- watch their foods, exercise, run, meditate--die at 50 from heart disease. (That was my sister's cardiologist's husband). And in my husband's family, 4 people had various types of cancer--not the same type--and none of them are/were smokers. Any input from you will be appreciated. Good post!

My suggestion is that you read more MINDCUROLOGY articles, which may change your current thinking, which is good for your health.

When they say it’s “genetic” it’s because they haven’t a clue, and never have had. Most assertions of a gene for this or a gene for that dis-ease seem to be post hoc inferences. In essence, since they don’t know what causes anything, really, and thus don’t know how to cure anything, they more or less blame God, as it were (your genes!). As the great Weston A Price once said (paraphrase); “It is a case of interrupted heredity”. Nowadays that is what we might consider rather what we term “epigenetics”. Anyway, I am really looking forward to digging more into your work, Dr. Ma.

People have overcome poverty, alcoholism, abusive behavior, and other family traits. Therefore, they can overcome family genetics.

We all grew hearing about hereditary things that you may be predisposed for. However, the doctor never bought up diet and lifestyle that as time has gone is being seen as the culprit. Another good one from Mr. Ma

I understand the flow and surge of a flooded river as a way of reimagining and redirecting energy within the body. I also like the simple metaphor of the river to use as the shape and movement of energy in Mr. Ma’s practice. For the temperature aspect of Mind massage, I’d like to layer in the feeling of being emerged in a hot springs. Now we have powerful images to practice using the shape, movement, and temperature aspects of Mind massage.
